Confidant(e) - 7"

Confidant(e) - 7"

$5.00

The newest release from Negative Desire….sort of.
When I was in high school I released my first record, a 7" by a friends band called Confidant(e). Flash forward 13 years later at my grandparents house and I found a stack of these ready to get out into the world.

What to say about Confidant(e)? If you were in The Bay in the early 2000's and were into emotive hardcore, you don't have to say anything because you remember them well. For everybody else Confidant(e) was an insanely unpolished, dual female/male screamy vocal onslaught of politics and emotion. They consisted of six friends who were all in other Bay bands like Portraits of Past. Confidant(e)'s live set's stuck with everybody who saw them not only because of the songs themselves but because of the amazing back-and-forth the band had in-between songs.

In 2001 Mag of Yaphet Kotto was experimenting with DAT recording which gave us the two raw songs on this 7". There's two variations of this 7" one being on blue/green vinyl and the other on grey/orange. The original covers are lost forever, so they got redid (better). In this 7" all 6 members have an insert ranging from rants, politics, poem and art. This 7" is awesome! Enjoy
